Step-by-Step Guide

Overview

The device access process is one of the core components of the Neuron Data Platform. Through this document, you can generally follow the process outlined below.

Operation Process

tip

To ensure the following operational process proceeds normally, please confirm that you have Project Administrator permissions.

  1. Hardware Configuration: Before devices enter the data platform, they need to be decoded. For example:

    • LoRaWAN Devices (ChirpStack): If your devices are planned to access via a self-built or Neuron-provided ChirpStack network server. 【ChirpStack Pre-configuration Guide
    • LoRaWAN Devices (Netmore): If your devices access via the Netmore operator network. 【Netmore Pre-configuration Guide
    • Data Stream Integration (Node-RED): If you need to forward existing device data from message queues like Kafka to this platform using a low-code approach. 【Kafka Pre-configuration Guide
  2. Select Access Method: The data platform currently supports four device access methods, including both non-IoT devices and IoT devices. The content of each access document includes device registration steps. For operations, please refer to 【Device Access

  3. BMS Device Tagging: If you need to access traditional devices (non-IoT), after completing the device information registration, you need to tag the devices with data points and project tags so that the system can identify the devices and correctly record them. Only then will you be able to see the complete devices in the platform. For operations, please refer to 【BMS Device Tags】.
